Privacy Policy

What we collect

This website does not ask you to create an account, and we do not automatically collect your name, email address or phone number. We only receive personal information when you choose to give it to us, for example:

• Contact form: your name, email address, business name (optional), the service you're interested in, and your message.
• Email: anything you include when you write to info@westsparrow.ca.

Like most websites, our hosting and security provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. This is used to deliver and protect the site, not to identify you.

How we use it

We use the information you send us only to respond to your enquiry, to provide services you've asked for, and to keep records of our communication with you. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing or share it with other private organizations for their own purposes.

We handle personal information in line with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). By submitting the contact form or emailing us, you consent to us using your information for the purposes described here.

Service providers

We use a small number of trusted providers to run this website. They process information on our behalf and only as needed to provide their service:

• Cloudflare hosts the website, protects it from attacks and automated abuse, and passes contact form messages to our inbox without storing them. Its Turnstile check on the contact form confirms you are a person and is not used for advertising.
• Google Fonts supplies the typefaces used on this site, so your browser contacts Google's servers when pages load.

Some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.

Cookies

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our security provider may set a strictly necessary cookie to tell real visitors apart from automated bots. It does not identify you personally.

Storage and retention

Enquiries are kept in our business email only for as long as needed to respond to you, provide our services and meet our legal and accounting obligations. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, and our site is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.

No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure. Please don't send passwords, payment card numbers or other sensitive details through the contact form or by email.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. You can also withdraw your consent to further communication at any time. Email info@westsparrow.ca and we will respond within the time required by law.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
