Frequently asked questions.
Quick answers about how we work. If your question isn't here, send it to us and we'll reply.
Working with us
What services does West Sparrow Solutions offer?
We offer four services: Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud setup and management, website and app development, work email with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, and online marketing. You can use one or combine them. See Services for details.
How do we get started?
Send us a message through the contact form or email info@westsparrow.ca. We'll set up a call to understand your needs, then send a written plan and quote before any work begins.
How much does a project cost?
Every business is different, so we quote each project after we understand what you need. Your quote lists exactly what's included, so there are no surprise charges.
Websites & apps
How long does it take to build a website?
It depends on the size and complexity of the project. A typical business website takes about 4 to 6 weeks. Larger projects, online stores and custom apps take longer. We agree on a timeline with you before we start.
Can you redesign our existing website?
Yes. We can modernize your current site with a responsive design that works on phones, faster loading and clearer content. We'll work with you to understand what's working today and what needs to change.
Do you provide ongoing support and maintenance?
Yes. We offer ongoing support that covers updates, security checks, backups and performance improvements, so your website stays current and keeps running smoothly.
Cloud & email
Should we use Google Workspace or Microsoft 365?
Both are excellent. Google Workspace suits teams that like working in the browser and sharing documents. Microsoft 365 suits teams that rely on Outlook, Word and Excel. We'll recommend one based on how your team works, and we support both.
Will we lose emails when we switch providers?
We plan email migrations so your existing mail, contacts and calendars move across, and we schedule the switch to keep disruption to a minimum.
Is AWS only for big companies?
No. AWS lets you pay for what you use, which can suit small businesses well when it's set up correctly. We size your setup to your actual needs and review costs so you aren't paying for capacity you don't use.
Marketing
How does your digital marketing help businesses grow?
We tailor a plan to increase your visibility, engagement and enquiries. Depending on your goals, that mix can include search engine optimization (SEO), your Google Business Profile, social media, content and paid ad campaigns.
How do you measure success?
We track website traffic, engagement, enquiries and conversions, and the return on your ad spend. You get regular reports in plain language so you can see what's working.
Can you guarantee results?
No one can honestly guarantee rankings or sales, because search engines and ad platforms control their own systems. What we can promise is a clear plan, transparent reporting and steady work to improve your results.
